The Spinal Function Sort© (SFS) is a standardized self-report assessment designed to quantify a patient's perceived ability to perform work tasks involving the spine and lower extremities. For more than three decades, clinicians have relied on the SFS to establish baseline functional status, monitor treatment progress, support functional capacity evaluations, and assist with return-to-work planning. The assessment uses 50 illustrated work and daily living tasks selected by rehabilitation experts to evaluate perceived functional ability quickly and consistently.
